Hoe de nieuwe VS-Tariefregels invloed hebben op PSA?

How the new US Tariff Rules impact PSA?

PSA will temporarily suspend PSA grading for customers outside the United States beginning Wednesday, April 2, due to the announced import duties. This is an extension of previously announced restrictions from Canada, China, Hong Kong and Mexico.

Why is PSA taking this measure?

PSA is taking this step to protect international customers from additional costs resulting from the new rates. The new rates will not be calculated on the PSA costs, but on the full value of the card.

The table below provides an example of the rate charges customers would be expected to pay in addition to the PSA grading fee and shipping costs:

Value of Order 20% EU rate New PSA Grading Costs
€500 +€100 €124.99
€5,000 +€1000 €1,024.99

These rates are separate from the PSA upcharge .

PSA is currently working on solutions to allow customers outside the US to grade again. They will provide updates on resuming submissions for affected customers soon. This will likely be through an EU grading office like BGS recently opened.

Due to this temporary hold, customers outside the US (that's us...) will no longer be able to submit direct entries through PSA.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. Further updates will follow as they become available as we aim to keep PSA grading moving.

Attention! We are also working hard on adding Beckett grading via tcgtools.nl!

Important questions:

Q: I shipped my order to the US before the tariff rules. Will my shipment be affected?
Answer: Orders placed in the US before 12:01 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 are not impacted. So shipments from December, January, and February appear to be safe! PSA is working to minimize the impact to customers as much as possible.

Question: Can I submit cards to TcgTools in the meantime and send them along when PSA opens again?
Answer: We have temporarily paused PSA sending. When there is more clarity, this will open again! We do this to be able to indicate unexpected price increases in time!

Question: Can I still order Grading Tools?
Answer: Yes, of course! Go to Combitools and order your new set!
