What are PSA Upcharges?
PSA insures all cards during transport from America to the Netherlands! Sometimes it happens that your card rises so much after grading that it needs extra insurance and this usually costs a bit more! In addition, very expensive cards get a bit more attention than bulk cards, which takes more time and work. This is essentially what the Upcharge is for! These costs are on top of the €24.99 that is paid in advance, if your card reaches a much higher value!
PSA works with multiple price ceilings. The first price ceiling is $200. This means that the card has a maximum value of $200 after degrees (according to PSA). The insurance of this value is included as standard with the return. If the value of the slab exceeds the price ceiling, the price of the next level will be charged.
The price and ceiling of these scales change regularly.* Below you see the upcharge calculated per price ceiling plus the extra service costs that PSA charges for this. TcgTools does not charge any extra service costs on top of this!
(The costs below are indicative, the final costs may vary due to fluctuations in dollar value and upcharge ceilings at PSA)
Upcharge costs per price cap:
Graded value up to 200$: ~1$ + ~3$ upcharge
Graded value up to 500$: ~3$ + ~3$ upcharge
Graded value up to 1000$: ~43$ + ~3$ upcharge
Graded value up to 1500$: ~58$ + ~3$ upcharge
